Dr. Sherri Somerville grew up on a small farm outside of Fruita on the western slope of Colorado.
She went to Colorado State University after high school graduation and got her Bachelors of Science there as well as her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. She graduated from veterinary school in 1985 and moved to Parker to work in a mixed animal practice. This included work on dogs, cats, horses, cattle, pigs, sheep, ostriches etc!
She loved mixed animal work but upon starting a family in 1989 she realized dogs and cats were her true calling. In July of 1990 she went to work at a small animal practice in the Washington Park area of Denver and continued there until June of 2008. She also started her own mobile practice in 1993 and continues with that practice now. She has a son and a daughter that are both in college.
She has 2 dogs (a Cocker Spaniel/ Beagle mix from DDFL and a yellow Labrador Retriever) and a cat (also from DDFL). She has been in general practice continuously since 1985 and just loves everything from exams to surgeries!
